West Coast rapper Blueface is hogging the headlines even from the joint. Fresh prison pics of him jaw-jacking with his mom have hit social media and set the rest of the web ablaze. The now-viral screenshots show the "Thotiana" rapper inside a private video call, and his mom, Karlissa Saffold, posted them to Instagram with a touching caption. "This is my first time seeing and hearing my baby in almost two years," she wrote. Never take a hug or I love you for granted from your children, regardless of age. They will always be our babies."
It was an emotional exchange between mother and son that played out unexpectedly online. Fans quickly zeroed in on two things: the "Thotiana" rapper appears to have put on some weight these days, and he's added even more ink to his already heavily tattooed face.

Blueface is serving a four-year sentence relating to a 2021 assault case, for which he was found to have violated probation. But by the book, he could be released back onto the streets as early as June or July 2025.

In an unusual moment of introspection, Blueface shared a public apology to his mum in the comments, admitting that previous drama had taken its toll:
"I would like to apologize to you for letting any girl influence come between us. Thought a few bitches loved me more but I was wrong."
Karlissa answered with a mix of love and raw, wonderful, real moments: "You know I love you more than life. "Love be making us do so crazy s###."
