Diddy's Ex-Assistant 'Mia' Details Harrowing Life Behind the Spotlight

One former assistant is challenging what you think you know about the glossy world of the rich and the famous. Witness delivers brutal testimony into disturbing work environment on 12th day of Sean "Diddy" Combs federal sex trafficking trial, a woman identified only as Mia delivered a powerful testimony that tore back the curtain on a disturbing and abusive work environment.

Her dream job was suddenly a nightmare, Mia told the court on Thursday (May 29). And, though she was hired after a formal vetting process that included meetings with human resources and its then-recruiter, Mia claims that her first meeting with the Hip-Hop mogul came in his apartment, where Ditty opened the door wearing nothing but underwear. He waited, according to reports, until he was left alone with the HR rep before getting dressed, a sign, in retrospect, of the tremendous chaos that lay ahead.

Mia said Diddy's behavior could be temperamental, but his mood is changeable, like the weather. Her story painted a picture of a life colored in control, fear, and exhaustion. Mia claimed she was prohibited from leaving his presence without specific permission. When she attempted, she was met with retaliation. She said one such occasion resulted in P Diddy's security team hunting her down after she left at 2 a.m. while he was sleeping.

Mia claimed she was the victim of physical abuse by being thrown up against a wall, having her arms slammed indoors, and even having a bucket of ice thrown on her head. Once, she said, she was pushed into a pool. It was not just the physical toll; she said the job robbed her of basic human needs. She said she had been made to stay up for five days straight, using extended-release Adderall to remain standing. The result is hallucinations, hearing loss, and a tearful meltdown that thankfully gave her the license to sleep.

But things turned far darker when Mia began detailing incidents of sexual assault not just while she was still working for Diddy as his assistant but also during her tenure as director of development and acquisitions at Revolt Films. She said the incidents occurred more than once and that defiance often prompted terrifying and unpredictable reactions.

Mia revealed she was offered $50,000 yearly and told of a two-week olive branch. At first, she was thrilled by the opportunity, but the work soon turned dark. Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all the federal charges, which include racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. If convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison.

Together, on the seventh day of the trial in a federal court here, they further complicated the portrayal of one of the music world's most iconic stars with yet more allegations and another voice to chill them in a case in which decades of impunity have now formed the foulest of shadows.
