Glass Rumours tear down the façade with thunderous honesty in "Behind The Armour"

Glass Rumours smash through the noise with their blisteringly honest new single, "Behind The Armour". And it's not just a rock song; it's a hard-charging, everything-but-the-kitchen-sink confession broadcast through a Marshall stack, torqued by blistering guitar riffs and fueled by the guts of a band that isn't here to play it safe. With "Behind The Armour," Glass Rumours are showing some teeth, some hearts, and some soul.

The third release in their daring Tsunami Series, a ten-week barrage of songs two years in the making, "Behind The Armour," is every bit as advertised: a peek behind the shiny versions of ourselves we show off, particularly online. The story is straightforward but gut-punching: we're all a little scared, and sometimes that fear is masked by being loud, brash, and a pixel-perfect persona. It's a bit of a taboo for most of us to live but rarely admit, and Glass Rumours aren't afraid to be blunt, at full volume.

Timothy William produces the track and he doesn't just twiddle some knobs, he lets the beast out. It's pure, high-octane rock 'n' roll with one speed and no brakes. Picture Lemmy playing this at full tilt, while scarfing his cornflakes, that kind of heavy. It doesn't pause before apologizing, and it doesn't linger over introspection. The soul searching is baked into the distortion.

The vocals were recorded in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Lead singer Gemma, who works on cruise ships, recorded her vocal parts in her cabin out at sea evidence that no distance, no logistics, not even the goddamn ocean can keep this band from plowing through and still having fun at it. It's the kind of dedication that runs rich in every second of "Behind The Armour". And it's precisely the sort of track that makes you want to switch off your phone, turn the volume up, and face the mirror without so many filters.
