Naturally, 50 Cent couldn't help himself. He took to Instagram early Wednesday morning (August 6) like a shark smelling blood in the water, posting screenshots of the scathing reviews with a caption that said what we were all thinking: "How do you get a 0 percent rating? The film, an Amazon Prime 2025 adaptation of War of the Worlds, stars Ice Cube in a survival-thriller-meets-tech-gimmick fest. But critics aren't just unimpressed, but they're straight-up stunned at how bad it is. Reviews have tormented the movie's wooden acting, clunky dialogue, and visuals that scream "straight-to-DVD in 2006."
Variety didn't hold back, either, calling it a "disastrous retelling" and likening Cube's performance to "a brash, street-smart Mission: Impossible wannabe glued to computer screens and profanity."
