When you throw all your baby mamas into the same nightclub for a birthday party, you’re either planning a heartfelt reunion or setting the stage for the reality show episode nobody asked for. For rapper Kodak Black, it was the latter. His ex, Maranda Johnson, found herself in handcuffs after what police are calling a full-on club demolition and fist-slinging melee during a January 15th celebration at The Manor nightclub in Wilton Manors.

According to cops, the 23-year-old Fort Lauderdale native who once appeared on the reality series W.A.G.s to Riches wasn’t exactly in the mood for small talk when she came face-to-face with the other mothers of Kodak’s children. The rapper had invited all three to his birthday party, perhaps hoping for peaceful co-parenting vibes. Instead, tensions went from simmer to rolling boil almost instantly.
Police say the drama kicked off the moment the women locked eyes, with one even trying to physically confront Kodak “three times” before the night was over. Things took a sharper turn when one woman’s brother stepped in, which prompted Kodak’s entourage to jump into the fray.
That’s when the birthday bash spiraled into pure chaos. According to police reports, Johnson allegedly yanked another woman’s wig clean off and followed up with a punch to the face. Witnesses say it wasn’t just people catching blows, property inside the club took a beating, too. A printer, computer monitor, toilet, and even a sink ended up busted in the ruckus.
By the time police arrived, the crowd had scattered and Johnson had already left the scene, but her escape didn’t last long. Officers caught up with her days later at the Broward County courthouse, where she was arrested and charged with five felony counts of criminal mischief.
She’s now cooling her heels at Broward Main Jail on a $12,500 bond, while Kodak Black might be reconsidering the wisdom of hosting family mixers in the future.
The Wilton Manors Police summed it up best: What could go wrong? In this case, everything. Birthdays are supposed to be memorable, but this one is going down in the books for all the wrong reasons. Between the wig-snatching, the busted plumbing, and the very expensive “party favors” in the form of criminal charges, this was less Happy Birthday and more Mayhem on the Dance Floor.
