The Filthy Six bring Hammond soul-jazz roaring back to life with “Jack Attack”

London soul-jazz band The Filthy Six return with “Jack Attack,” the first single from their upcoming fourth album, "Return of The Swagger Junkies: Vol 1." The track is a high-energy tribute to legendary Hammond organist Jack McDuff, drawing on the bluesy, hard-driving soul-jazz of his Prestige and Atlantic recordings. The song is a groove-heavy, musicianship-driven piece that has the timeless impact of a band playing with conviction.

It’s a beefy arrangement, with soaring horns, bluesy organ, soulful guitar, and a heavyweight rhythm section that combine into something built for motion.
