Je'Vel & YawnyBlew reign supreme with "Kings"

When all of the heaviness of the world rests on you, it's easy to give up, but to help combat this feeling, Je'Vel joins forces with Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter YawnyBlew for their new empowering effort called "Kings." is a genre-blurring, revolutionary, cinematic homage to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. aimed at a calling for those fighting back to take their power back.

Brooklyn-based Phifer Sound handled the production; Andrew Griffin, a live violinist known for his work with Ariana Grande, Coldplay, and Solange Knowles, layers violins over the top to bring the track as close to the high musicality of an album as anything in the industry recently. Je'Vel and Phifer Sound have become known for their combination of modern production and classic instrumentation, and "Kings" is another showing of their wizardry.

Je'Vel and YawnyBlew provide a much-needed antidote: a message of resilience, hope, and the assiduous pursuit of self-actualization. The track calls on us to rise above life's hardships and create their fates, a sentiment that mirrors the ideals Dr. King advocated for. As the world tests our resolve, it's a call to arms and a reminder that each of us has a crown. We are all born kings and must fight to hold on to our dreams and thrones.
