Launch Control breaks the silence with "Hedge Fundamentalism"

After a four-year slumber, Launch Control returns with a bang. Their new single, "Hedge Fundamentalism," is a scrappy attack on the excesses of capitalism, sent out with blistering guitars, politically charged lyricism, and an unrelenting beat that lands like a sledgehammer.

"Hedge Fundamentalism," is the first new music from the band since 2020's Attention Economy, and the two new songs set the mood for the release of their next album, "The Omnipotent Wage," which will offer up more of the band's signature blend of raw energy and razor-sharp social commentary.

Lead singer and lyricist Lee Switzer-Woolf pulls no punches, extracting the absurdities of wealth obsession and corporate greed with the help of a cruel tongue and an even crueler wit. With music at a premium high and a fight to the finish flaring up, the roof-toppling production values of producer Alex J Steer, plus the mastering arsenal of Dave Chang (Capdown, Stampin' Ground, 4ft Fingers), elevate the band's punk-pursuant, now modern rock grind into a visceral high-voltage collision.

In a time when the super-wealthy prosper while the working class scrapes by, "Hedge Fundamentalism" descends like a battle cry. It's not just a call-and-response chant for a song but a line in the sand for those who will not be another cog in the machine.
