Diddy's Accuser Faces Another Legal Setback as Second Law Firm Withdraws

The legal woes continue for Adria English, the ex-adult film star suing Sean "Diddy" Combs. In another twist to the high-profile case, English had been dropped by her second legal team, complicating her lawsuit against the Hip-Hop mogul.

Another set of attorneys from Andrews & Thornton AAL LLC, The Watts Firm, and Kagen Caspersen & Bogart PLLC filed a motion to withdraw from representing English on March 10 (Monday). The motion, filed in Wyoming and addressed to Judge Analisa Torres, cited an irreparable breakdown in communication between English and her lawyers, rendering it impossible for them to continue to advocate on her behalf.

This is the second time that English has lost legal representation. Her first lawyers, Ariel Mitchell-Kidd and Steven A. Metcalf II, cut her loose last October, saying they also had similar issues. Mitchell-Kidd publicly vented frustration, saying English had provided "conflicting instructions" for everything except effective representation. The former attorney also characterized her behavior as "destructive," claiming that it crippled their ability to proceed with the case.

With a second set of lawyers stepping back, English's ability to continue her legal action against Diddy is at risk. Her current attorneys have filed a request in court for a 60-day delay so that she has time to find new representation.

English first filed her case as a lawsuit in July 2024, alleging that Diddy and his business entities, Bad Boy Entertainment Holdings Inc., Sean John Clothing LLC, and Combs Global Enterprises, committed sex trafficking and exploitation from 2004 through 2009 years. She says she was forced to perform sexual acts at Diddy's infamous "white parties" in Miami and the Hamptons, where she was allegedly made to take drugs and alcohol and have sex with guests.

In addition, English claims that Diddy brainwashed her, led her to believe he would advance her music career, and then threatened her with the potential repercussions of going public when she didn't comply with his wishes.

Losing two legal teams in less than a year is a cause for serious concern, raising questions about the strength of English's case and whether she can proceed. Legal experts say that while pulling out over communication problems isn't unprecedented, several attorneys dropping out is a sign of more serious issues behind the scenes.

Diddy has not issued a claim regarding this latest news but has previously denied all accusations against him via his legal team. Now that English is scrambling to find new lawyers, her lawsuit's future is unclear.

There is concern about whether she can gain fresh legal support within the next 60 days or if this latest setback could bring her case to a screeching halt.
