L.A.Bastards crash into the scene with "City Of Sin"

If rock 'n' roll had a back alley, L.A.Bastards would be waiting there smoking cigarettes and leather jackets smelling of low-grade whiskey, grinning like they just pulled off a heist. Their debut single, "City Of Sin," is a full-throttle, middle-finger salute to the grime, excess, and hooks that made the '80s glam metal scene as legendary as it was infamous.

"City Of Sin" lays down a vibe for an unapologetic ride through the neon-lit gutters of rock decadence. This isn't a polite tip of the cap to the period; it's a headlong plunge into the muck, a continuation of where bands like Mötley Crüe, Poison, and Faster Pussycat left off. L.A.Bastards don't pay homage; they revive the sound with an outrageous and contagious attitude.

The vocals sneer and snarl and drip with reckless abandon. The guitars howl like a Corvette motor screaming redline down the Sunset Strip. The rhythm section thwacks with the last-call urgency of a fight at The Rainbow. It's precisely what you'd expect an outfit that calls themselves "Los Angeles' worst" to put forth.

But don't confuse City Of Sin with some nostalgic act in fancy dress. This track doesn't recycle what's old but brings new life to the genre, making it feel new, unsafe, and fun again. You can almost smell the Aqua Net and hear the clinking of Jack Daniel's bottles in the background. With their next single, My Favorite Bands, scheduled to drop in 11 days, it's clear L.A.Bastards are in it to win it and prepare the world for sleaze rock because whether it's ready or not, they're coming for it. Buckle up.

  1. Great track. Dragging the 1980's Sunset Strip heydays right into 2025. Love it!
