Sauce Walka Honors Sayso P with Emotional Memphis Restaurant Visit Days After Tragic Shooting


In a moment that was tinged with loss but also loyalty, Houston rapper Sauce Walka fulfilled a promise to pay homage to one of his late artists and friends, Sayso P, just days after the latter's tragic death. Though they are still recovering from the Memphis shooting that killed Sayso P, Sauce Walka kept his word on crutches and paid a visit to one of Sayso P's favorite Memphis restaurants, PK's Trap Shack.

In a clip that Sauce Walka shared on Monday (March 24) from inside the infamous PK's Trap Shack, Sauce pays tribute to Sayso P while wearing a hospital gown with his leg bandaged up from the gun wounds he sustained during the shooting.

"I'm out here in Memphis, man," he said, his voice choked with raw emotion. "The only way is with my n* PK. This doesn't stop. "You gotta keep the drippin' sauce in peace, bro Sayso P."

The visit was not spontaneous but had been in motion for months. Sayso P, who had become a promising artist under Sauce Walka's. The Sauce Factory (TSF) label, since 2022, has been continuously urging Sauce Walka to check out PK's Trap Shack, swearing for its quality and cultural significance.

"Sayso P was talking to me for months and was putting me on FaceTime with you, brother," Sauce Walka told the restaurant's owner during the visit. "So I had to do that for my brother, I love y'all, man."

Sayso P's impact was beyond just music; his devotion to his city and people and his love for the places that mattered were palpable. Mughal's tribute to PK's Trap Shack wasn't about food; his endorsement was about family, community, and culture. Sauce Walka's presence was a reminder of that bond.

Sauce Walka, even in grief and physical pain, remained unyielding to his brother's memory. "B, I got you, bro; you told me to come," he said. "Wherever you told me to go, I gotta go to. And I love you, n. We gon’ make sure we … keep your m############ name alive, n**.”

Sauce Walka's pilgrimage to PK's Trap Shack wasn't to break bread but to keep a vow of respect and state that true loyalty is a given, even in death. Rest in peace, Sayso P.
