In a week when we were all waiting for new banger releases and tour announcements, the headlines were instead dominated by a digital slapfight between two DJs, Gordo and Mustard, that accelerated from petty to personal in a hurry. It started with a silent social-media maneuver that sounded like a thunderclap.
Gordo, who is currently enjoying success from his world tour, saw something strange in his feed! His Instagram stories suggested that his alleged work homie, Mustard, had unfollowed him on Instagram.
"Omg, I just realized the mustard unfollowed me on IG," Gordo tweeted with digital heartbreak. It's a sad day headlining; Chella must have got to his head."

Never one to shy from a clapback, Mustard wasted no time putting the young lyricist in hot water with a barbed jab that had Twitter users spitting out their drinks.
"Aint tryna go back and forth with a n#### that there happy to go switchin' music on another n##### toilet seats," he snapped. Let's just put the shit behind us richer than you, financially richer than you, have more bullets in the gun than you, even if you have way more of these. Don't forget I sued you and took ya publishing too; you might have a great lawyer, but not a better than mine. You like Eddy, and I'm Patsy. You should never forget me and you until the end.
Never one to be surpassed, Gordo fired back by boasting his bragging rights: world domination. "I posted a video of a lit crowd one time in Santiago, and someone's feelings get hurt?" he captioned a video of a crowd in Santiago, Chile, apparently with his attention directly on Mustard's place as an opener on Kendrick Lamar's GNX tour.
"10,000 tickets in Santiago Chile! I wish every 'DJ' got the feeling I feel right now… Headlining your own WORLD TOUR is UNBELIEVABLE!!!" he added, presumably before sipping something expensive.
Mustard, who appeared to be scrolling with one hand and typing with the other, responded with a snarky clap.
"The guy wants attention and Keeps logging them overseas shows, brother… And don't forget to buckle the dude's pants up when you're done.
But when you thought it couldn't get any more middle-school mean, Mustard went full reality TV. He shared a photo of Gordo in chains, apparently at Drake's place.
"Omg, girl, I can't believe it b####," he captioned. He left me in his house with all his chains for real. He trusts me. I'm his fine s###."
Naturally, the internet did what it does best: meme it to incognizance. But if there is laughter in the teases, the jabs suggest a more bottomless gulf. He has hip-hop heavyweights Drake and Kendrick Lamar in his corner, and this beef is about likes and follows, as well as territory.
While fans choose sides and comment sections go up in flames, one question remains: is this a real grudge, or is it performative promo masquerading as a feud? Either way, Some folks will need a new toilet seat.
