Lamar leads the pack and is in the running for Album of the Year and Favorite Hip-Hop Album for his acclaimed release GNX. The 9 Best-Dressed People at the BET AwardsK.R.I.T., whose razor-sharp diss track “Not Like Us” caused a serious splash when it was released, is nominated for Favorite Music Video and Favorite Hip-Hop Song the latter in which it will compete against not one but two tracks from Lamar himself: “Luther” featuring SZA, not to mention “Like That,” his scorching collaboration with Metro Boomin. And it’s not a matter of quantity but quality dominance. If Kendrick wins all eight, he’ll join icons like Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, who claimed the most AMAs in a single evening.
