In a new sit-down with Billboard, the Texas-born hitmaker confirmed he's already stacked up "probably 35 songs" for the follow-up to his 2024 country-pped follow-up F-1 Trillion. And as he continues to parse which ones "rock" and which ones "sock," there's one thing he does know: the music's coming and coming real soon.
"I've made probably 35 songs," Malone said, with his familiar off-the-cuff delights. "It's only a question of which is rock and which is sock."
It's no secret that Post has joined the country wave with incredible speed after two recent recording trips to Nashville. And he's not doing it alone. His group has been killing the track with him in the studio.

"They're f###### crushing it," he said, his excitement still loud. "I sit there and listen to these songs, and usually, I hate listening to my music, but when I sit and listen to the band play, I get so excited."
That towering statement from an artist who has built a career roosting hip-hop, rock, pop, and country. But following "F-1 Trillion," which found Malone leaping, he's discovered an entirely different kind of groove.
The 29-year-old artist detailed how Nashville gave him a creative reset. "I was like, 'f### it, let's just go to Nashville. Let's give it a shot,'" he recalled. "I think just bringing back the fun to what I was doing finally really showed on the record."
His fans didn't miss that renewed energy, either. F-1 Trillion reverberated with veteran audiences and newcomers to the genre, showcasing that Post isn't just dipping a toe in; he's making a splash. And now he is preparing to double down.
"We're going to have some music out very, very soon," he said.
There's no release date or album title, but it's a safe bet that Posty's next project will be soaked in the same Nashville spirit and genre-defying swagger that has made him a signature artist. Deepening the country's influence or banging it with his melting pot, usually whatever it is, fans can expect a blood-or-push, high-energy, surprise-stuffed comeback.
So whether you're a plug-hat-wearing devotee or just here for the vibes, have your ears open. Post Malone is gearing up to unleash a new batch of tracks, and whether 35 songs are already in the bag, this could be one of his most enterprising releases to date.
