Vybz Kartel Shows Off His New Florida Mansion and Fresh Start

After 13 years behind bars, Dancehall legend Vybz Kartel is reversing the script and the view. The self-styled "World Boss" gave fans a sneak peek at his new digs in Florida, and it's nothing less than a glow-up.

Fresh off the announcement that he's officially a Sunshine State resident, Kartel shared a video tour of his new U.S. mansions. The lavish residence features an expansive entryway, a chic pool, and an outdoor space to be built for sun-shining parties and all-night limes. His fiancée, Sidem Öztürk, also featured in the video, lounging in their stylish new space like a regal on her throne.

"Sidem chillin' in our new home in the name of Jesus #family1st #GodistheGreatest," Kartel wrote when sharing the post, mixing thankfulness with his signature self-satisfaction.

This latest move represents Kartel's profound shift, and he intends to live on another level. Having spent over a decade behind bars, the entertainer is not making it unclear that this chapter is one of elevation, not regression.

"They spent 13 years in prison, like, seriously, that's not a joke," he said in a recent interview. "I need to go out now, and I'm working. Florida's great because it's a hub; you can fly into New York, go across the Atlantic, England, fly west, and be in LA. We can move, which is a nice geographical place."

Movement is a significant theme for Kartel as he moves forward, moves differently, and, perhaps more importantly, moves smartly. He's been very vocal about avoiding negativity and moving on from the past.

"Basically, I'm just staying out of trouble," he added. "I don't want to be involved in anything bad, never. So we stay away from that."

This isn't the first of Kartel's big property purchases post-release. He made headlines last October when he purchased a mansion in the wealthy Red Hills section of St. Andrew, Jamaica. When he accomplished the milestone, he greeted it with the now-legendary words: "From Prison to Prosperity."

Now, with palm trees in place of prison gates and peace where so much chaos once was in his life, Vybz Kartel appears to be doing what he preached or, perhaps more accurately, relaxing poolside while the talk walks itself.

Fans are tuning in for the music, though that's always part of the equation and the story. This isn't about a house but a man rewriting his legacy in real-time.
