Al B. Sure! vs. Kim Porter's Legacy, Friend Claps Back, Demands Truth Over Theatrics

Al B. Sure!, the silky-voiced hunk of Uptown Records, is back in the news, but this time, it's not for a throwback hit or a reunion tour. It's the never-ending saga of who shot what when it comes to the untimely death of Kim Porter and things just went from mess to hot mess.

The sudden death of Kim Porter due to pneumonia sent shock waves through the entertainment industry. Sudden, Al B. Sure! never actually uttered the words "foul play." Still, you only really need to look at the trail of breadcrumbs he's left behind to see that between stage left and an inevitable "Revenge of the Nerds" costume, there's just about enough there to keep social media conspiracy theorists on Twitter machine for endless cycles of mania. And his favorite suspect? None other than Sean "Diddy" Combs, the man who raised his son, Quincy, as his own.

Al B. Sure! Kim had a son, and there's no disputing that the two had a history. But nothing in that history gives Al a free pass to rewrite the narrative, particularly if the story he's spinning affects Kim's children and family, according to Kim's lifelong best friend, Lala.

Lala attacked Al B. Sure! He's a flat-out liar. He wasn't there when Kim got sick, she said. He didn't check in or engage, and now he's online spinning a story that only adds to the confusion and pain. Even worse, according to Lala, his actions have damaged the people Kim left behind, like her father and kids.

Since then, Al B. has managed to keep this storyline in the public eye for years, linking Kim's death to his medical scare, which included organ failure, and riding the vague insinuation that Diddy's hand could somehow be seen in both.

Now, even members of the media, the ones who were first brave enough to admit something felt off about the circumstances surrounding Kim's death, are starting to lose their patience. The questions still linger in the air, unanswered, but the whispers have turned into weary sighs. Perhaps it's time to ask for less mystery and more clarity. Or perhaps, just perhaps, it's time to stop handing the mic to anybody unready to tell the whole truth.

If you are going to tug at the heartstrings of a mother, daughter publicly, or loved one, you better have more than a couple of posts on a shadowy Instagram account. Otherwise, you're not seeking justice but clout.
