DJ Khaled Secures Nine-Figure Bag in Game-Changing Catalog Deal

The Grammy-winning producer and cultural icon DJ Khaled has inked a jaw-dropping low nine-figure agreement with the newly formed company Influence Media Partners to reclaim the rights to his entire discography and to begin what is expected to be an exciting new chapter for the music industry pioneer.

With a catalog defined by do-or-die anthems and hyped-up collaborations, Khaled's hit-heavy catalog runs 14 albums deep. The agreement captures almost two decades of the DJ/producer's greatest hits, along with the Rihanna, Jay-Z, and Beyoncé-starring smashes that have become pop culture staples.

According to Variety, the deal involves two new joint ventures between Khaled's "We The Best imprint and Influence Media" to produce original content for film, television, and commercial campaigns. Khaled's empire is about to expand from music-making to the small and big screen.

"I'm proud to be a part of maintaining HIS legacy and trajectory by partnering with Influence Media," Khaled said in a statement. These iconic recordings I have overseen will still be curated in the very best way to honor Prince's life and work .

Khaled isn't limiting his musical offerings to licensing his beats; his name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights in specific categories will also be included in the mix. In the space of a few years, he's not just a music mogul anymore but becoming to resemble a multimedia empire.

Long known for turning everything he touches into a cultural moment and unleashing a catchphrase, Khaled brings those same vibes to scripted and unscripted entertainment. A few film projects are already in motion via We The Best, and he's clarifying that this next act is about broadening his Influence's scope.

"I am so excited for the world to see and feel our films and to hear our stories," he said in his statement. Influence will be Michael, and Influence will be Calle. I'm also proud to be a part of We The Best Media and to have an incredible partner like Jay and BK." "This next stage of my career will be incredibly ambitious, and I do not want to limit and pigeonhole myself in any category," Knight said.

The powerhouse behind this deal, Influence Media, has been making its lane by investing in what it calls "modern evergreen" music that doesn't just top charts but stays culturally relevant over long periods of time. The company, which launched in 2019, has already completed more than 30 music rights acquisitions, and in recent weeks, it has secured a giant $360 million in financing to fuel further expansion. With this recent power play, DJ Khaled cemented his place in music as a hitmaker and an entrepreneur with a vision beyond beats and bars. And if history is any guide, greatness is the only thing we can expect.
