Rosa Acosta & Trinidad James Set to Shine as Hosts of Miss Caribbean LA 2025

Trinidad James and Rosa Acosta won’t dance into the limelight with a performance or a walk down the runway; they will co-host the 2025 Miss Caribbean LA Pageant, taking place on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Sola Beehive in South Los Angeles.

The vibrant celebration of beauty, culture, and cause is in its second year. Miss Caribbean LA is on tour with Uber Eats and Taste of the Caribbean LA to fulfill its mission: since co-hosting isn’t just about the crowns and sashes; inspired by thousands of years of Caribbean heritage, the event raises much-needed funds for the Lymphoma Research Foundation and Corlette Malcolm James Charities.

“This isn’t a beauty pageant,” the event’s founder and executive producer Chef Bernard James explains. The idea I came up with years ago as a tribute has grown into a cultural movement. The event will feature a reimagined Pink Carpet as one way to raise awareness.

Instead, the pink carpet honors those who have already faced lymphoma and provides a powerful visual backdrop that breathes music, strength, and female pride. “I’m not just a two-time Grammy winner who’s gotten into philanthropy,” says Trinidad James. It involves responsibility for yourself, your community, and much more. These young ladies have a vision, and there’s a place for growth.

The event is hosted by him and Rosa Acosta, a native of the Dominican Republic and a well-known face. This event isn’t just a flash of excitement for her; it has genuine significance. Rosa Acosta immigrated from the Dominican Republic to Los Angeles, and the MCLA pageant is the ideal method to reclaim her status quo from the world.

Last year’s MCLA debut, which featured 13 competitors representing six countries, was just the beginning, and it kicked off the pageant this year. It provides a chance for the platform to be more comprehensive than ever, further interaction with the community, and an even grander festival of the Caribbean’s vibrant culture.
