Soulja Boy caught wind of some disturbing allegations his ex-girlfriend and baby mama Halle Bailey has made against his fellow man DDG. The “Crank That” rapper wasted no time throwing down in the drama, no holds barred and no filters allowed.
Soulja Boy reinforced mounting concerns about his mental well-being when he sent off a since-deleted tweet blaze everyone’s timelines. The message? Unapologetically direct. “You a b#### a## n#### 4 puttin yo hands on Halle lil n####,” he wrote. “If I catch u, I’m beating the f## out u.
That heated statement came a day after news broke that Bailey had filed a restraining order against DDG, citing a violent in January 2025. the incident occurred while she was handing off their young son, Halo. In documents filed in court and obtained by TMZ, Bailey says that DDG became violent when she met up with him to drop off Halo, setting off Mace as he yelled profanities, pulled her hair, and smashed her face into a steering wheel, chipping her tooth.
DDG hit live on stream with Adin Ross mid-talk but had no answer. “That can’t even be real,” he murmured, visibly shaken.
An L.A. judge has since granted Bailey a temporary restraining order. DDG has since been ordered to keep his distance from Bailey and their son and stop discussing them on social media or his live streams. The saga is playing out in a courtroom, but the internet is already on fire.
While it initially appeared Soulja Boy was standing up for Bailey, things went south fast in what was a cringe-worthy moment for fans. Soulja flipped his would-be support into something … well, disquieting.
“Come f### a real n####,” he said in the video, apparently posted by Bailey herself, before alluding to Bailey’s role in the film as Ariel: “We gonna stick a dick in the mermaid.
As he publicly denounces what appears to be abuse, Soulja Boy’s strategy gets messy at best. Some people wondered whether his threats against Bailey and sexual remarks were made out of self-interest rather than support. He promises one minute that he’ll protect her honor and cross boundaries, the next that are miles from what it means to be an ally.
As recently as last month, Soulja Boy was found liable in a civil case brought by his former assistant, who said he had raped, assaulted, and kidnapped her. He has been ordered to pay over $4 million in damages, but he says he is not guilty.
Domestic violence allegations, public call-outs, legal madness, and chaos circling between celebrities who cannot seem to muster the strength to keep their drama offline. Unfortunately, a young mother is at the heart of it, fighting to keep her and her child safe. Only time will tell whether Soulja Boy is helping or hurting Halle Bailey. When public figures use serious matters like this for a stage, the difference between support and spectacle can evaporate quickly.
