50 Cent Dodges Abuse Allegations With Vivica Fox Booty Flashback, “She Gotta Find Something To Do”

Shaniqua Tompkins, the mother of 50 Cent‘s 21-year-old son Marquise Jackson, recently resurfaced allegations of abuse by the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper. During an Instagram Live broadcast on her series The Unspoken, Tompkins accused the rapper of abusing her on numerous occasions, even when she was pregnant and in the presence of their son, Marquise Jackson. She spoke of a pattern of abuse, recounting how, at one point in their relationship, 50 once beat the mess out of her after she confronted him about his cheating and then blamed their son for instigating the attack.

This is not the first time Tompkins has made such allegations. She has also previously made abuse allegations against not just herself but also Daphne Joy, who is the mother of 50’s younger son. In April of 2024, Joy accused 50 of raping and abusing her in a now-deleted social media post. He punched back with a defamation suit, which he eventually dropped, and not a peep from an official statement since.

So, how did 50 Cent weather this latest stir? He didn’t. Not directly. Instead, he sidestepped in the most 50-way possible with humor, outrage, and a dollop of pettiness. In a now-deleted Instagram post, the rapper led fans on a drifting detour into the past, off that trail of accusations and into a haze of horny nostalgia:

“Man it been 22 years, 👀 she gotta do something with her life, but she a talentless switcheroo man, Vivica booty was so good I forgot where the address was yo. 🏃‍♂️💨 got the f### up outta there. LOL 😆 THIS SH! T BE CRAZY @50centaction.”

In reply to abuse allegations, 50 Cent brought up Vivica A. Fox’s backside. The rapper briefly dated the actress in 2003 after shouting her out onstage at the BET Awards. Their relationship flamed out quickly, turning into public shade and alleged low blows, including a highly public moment in 2015 when Fox insinuated that 50 was gay on national television. Still, the two had reportedly made up by 2017.

Be it deflection, denial, or good old-fashioned trolling, 50’s post has left many of us scratching our heads and others shaking them. The move from deeply disturbing allegations to a decades-old hookup leaves something to be desired, at best, and red flags, at worst. Critics say it is just the latest example of how the rapper wields humor to avoid accountability.

Tompkins, meanwhile, is dug in. She has a 28-year-old son with 50 Cent, who has been estranged from the rapper but received financial support from him as an adult.

As for 50 Cent, he’s back to doing what he does best: stirring the pot on social media while promoting his stunt ventures. But with grave allegations still lingering in the background, the question is whether the world will ever hear a serious answer. Now, it’s Vivica’s booty, not the allegations of abuse, that are the reigning grasp on the 50’s narrative, and that might say enough.
