Pusha T Fires at Travis Scott (and Maybe Kanye) on Explosive Comeback Track

The Clipse reunion is fully underway and isn't just thoughtful but incendiary. Now, Kings Pusha T and Malice just dragged their latest single, "So Be It," across the finish line, and though those icy black-and-white visuals and cold-blooded bars are already generating buzz, it's those final few lines that have heads scrambling to decipher the smoke.

"So Be It" is the most recent single from the long-awaited Clipse album "Let the Lord Sort Them Out," That is enough to raise the pot, but it has been about two decades since we got a full Clipse album. But Push and Malice are not interested in a gentle re-entry to the game.

So let's discuss that verse, with the internet doing a double-take as if it had seen a ghost. Pusha T: "Calabasas took your b**, nigga (and your pride) in front of me / Ayy, heard Utopia just opened up the street…"

If your Hip-Hop radar went off, it would appear you're not the only one. The “Calabasas” line? That's flashing neon signs at the Kardashians. "Utopia" living nearby? That's Travis Scott's latest album and lifestyle. And Pusha doesn't come just that the verse might even be teased with the prospect of a video receipt of what went down, with Pusha stating that he could have gone "full TMZ mode" but didn't.

At first, people assumed that Kanye West was getting trashed again, but it was a fair guess under the circumstances. But in a recent GQ interview, Pusha cut it straight: The real target is Travis Scott. And the reasoning? Seriously,

The beef began in Paris while he was in a studio session with Pharrell. Travis stops by to share an early version of Utopia. Sounds friendly, right? But there was a catch. Travis did leave out the line in Drake's verse dissing Pharrell on "Meltdown." A diss that Pusha indicated specifically targeted his long-time friend and mentor.

Pusha did not mince words, either. "He was smiling, laughing, jumping around, doing his fucking monkey dance," Pusha T said to GQ. Then, a week later, boom. The Drake verse drops. When Pusha knew Travis was on some shit playing both sides. And for a dude whose rep was as much about loyalty as lyrical warfare, that was a dealbreaker.

"I' 've been away from that crew and that conversation for a minute," Pusha T said. "Don't even come over here with that… he's a w####."

So there you have it: the Clipse is back, Pusha's got receipts, and Travis Scott is likely next to receive a lyrical lashing. As for Kanye, he could have been hit with a stray, but the bullseye appears painted directly on La Flame.
