Rapper Cam'ron Says Diddy's 'Party Talk' Killed Podcast Deal

Cam'ron was doing business, but the Harlem rapper said Diddy had another idea for partying. And that, it seemed, was a bridge too far. In a tale that's one-third hip-hop, one-third headlines, and one-third hilarity, Cam'ron recently revealed why he huffily walked away from the deal and building when offered a possible podcast partnership with the Bad Boy mogul. For example, the agreement was for Cam and Ma$e's successful sports podcast, It Is What It Is, but the pair eventually signed with another platform.

Cam broke the news on Instagram, saying he and his team pulled up to Diddy's house to discuss business. But when the meeting ended, and Diddy said, "The party is about to start," Cam'ron said that was the signal for them to leave, stage left.

"We stood up and walked out as aggressively as we could," Cam wrote. He then quoted his son "Bub" as saying, "Let one of these n##### walk our way, Killa, the [gun will be] coming out this bag." Cam added a hearty "no, lol" to get the point across. This wasn't just staving off the late-night turn-up but was self-preservation.

It's not difficult to understand why Cam may be wary. Diddy's book is closed, and he's now the subject of a federal investigation with increasingly bizarre claims attributed to him, including parties of unimaginable, freewheeling excess. Cam'ron's timing (to withdraw from the meeting and to share the story) feels calculated.

There were skeptics online who accused Cam of clout-chasing, but he came with receipts. Posting a throwback on Wednesday of himself and Diddy on the way to the same party, the rapper went on to write: "For all you niggas in my comments talking about This post not real or some publicity one of you niggas know my baby mother Or would understand why I post this and take nothing to do with y'all! bjBjerg @diddy is coming soon, noand it's t just artists! I'm just telling you what did happen. WE AINT PARTYING LOL."

And to make it all the sweeter, Cam'ron recently signed a new multi-million dollar contract for his latest solo show, Talk With Flee!, and the name of the person who runs it is... Revolt. Diddy launched that Revolt only to distance himself from it in 2023, as the legal wildfire began to rage.

And, in what is perhaps the pettiest cherry on top, Cam announced the partnership by tagging Revolt and including the straight-to-the-point hashtag: "#NoDiddy literally lol." You don't need a decoder ring to know the shade.

It appears that the only thing Cam'ron's currently partying with is paperwork. If you ask Cam to a meeting, keep that champagne corked and the lights on unless you want him to sprint back to Harlem.
