Hip-hop mogul 50 Cent and Dave Blunts turned Instagram into a veritable battleground, throwing so much shade at each other's weight loss journeys. What began as an old-fashioned roast session soon grew into sprawling viral entertainment, complete with legal fireworks and some creepy stair-threats.
It started when 50 Cent, because he doesn't take days off, let the internet be aimed at Blunts, by himself, and shot up on Instagram with the caption: "Ye this ya manz? If I see him, imma push him down the stairs."

The jab was as much about Blunts' friendship with Kanye West as it was a throwaway threat that sparked a firestorm on Instagram.
Blunts clapped back hard and never one to be outdone, he had to dig back into the archives to find a photo of 50 from his comparatively lesser-known 2011 film All Things Fall Apart, in which the rapper-turned-actor dramatically slimmed down to play a terminally ill college athlete. Alongside the image, Blunts wrote: "I've been going to the gym and have been locked in on my health journey. The world watching my weight loss is motivation." But you lost all that weight for some weak ass movie, and nobody even saw that s###."
Instagram users naturally did what they do best: stirred the pot. One commenter added, "That's foul on 50's part, that big ass n#### prolly grew up loving 50 Cent." Another had a hilariously morbid take: "Stairs is diabolical, bro can't put one foot on; he gon break it.
But even as the roast fest was amusing fans, 50 Cent had some business to attend to off the timeline. The G-Unit Honcho recently filed a $1 million lawsuit against his former girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins. The suit, filed by G-Unit Books, accuses Tompkins of violating a 2007 agreement by conducting interviews and otherwise promoting tell-all material about their years-long relationship without authorization, all while basking in a recent reawakening of interest following her role in the high-profile "Diddy" case.
"He has bullied Tompkins and sought to further enrich himself and G-Unit on the back of Tompkins' hard work," the complaint states. The lawsuit aims to suppress the distribution of any such material and collect damages.
Tompkins hasn't stayed silent. In recent months, she's spoken out about abuse she says she suffered during their pregnancy and their complex relationship in the '90s, words that 50's legal team appears hell-bent on trying to silence.
Amidst vicious Instagram burns and million-dollar lawsuits, it's just another crazy page in the saga of 50 Cent. Whether he's roasting celebs, penning books, or fighting legal battles, it's clear that Curtis Jackson never takes a day off.
