Cardi B Unleashed, 'Men Would Have Us Eating Dog S### If They Could'

And Thursday night (July 10), the Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B set Twitter Spaces on fire with the heat of a thousand suns. Cardi gave absolutely zero f—s when it came to the misogyny and double standards that women, particularly women in the spotlight, are held to daily. No PR filter, no sugarcoating, and absolutely no punches pulled. Just raw, unfiltered Cardi.

"If they can, men will keep us on a f###### leash and have us f######, I don't know, eating dog s### every f###### day," she snapped, her voice piercing with frustration and truth.

This was not some celebrity rant, but this was an individual sick of the internet's favorite pastime: bashing women who breathe a little too loudly. Cardi put it all on the streets: the constant judgment, the hypocrisy, the warped double standards that continue to chase women, no matter what they do.

"You could be the most unproblematic b####," she said. "Don't get no order of protection. No child support needed. Don't ask for no alimony. Never ask for no spousal support. The men will still blame the women for walking out."

Cardi wasn't only talking about herself, but she was echoing a chorus of women who have been silently screaming the same thing.

Even when a woman's got her head down, grinding, raising her babies, building her empire, Cardi says the trolls will still come for her ass swinging. And she didn't skip a beat issuing a call-out.

"Men can see all the hard work." Men can see that a woman is such a good mom, and they still will come online and belittle you and say mean things and call you out of your name, and it's just crazy that someone who's doing something with their life, we consider it to be toxic," Greene said.

Cardi also taught the room that, whatever her past as a stripper so often used against her," according to Gene, doesn't make her less valid, less loyal, or less robust. For the record, she was with Offset for seven years, remaining faithful through the drama. During that time, they raised three children: Kulture (born in 2018), Wave (born in 2021), and baby Blossom, who was born less than a year ago.

However, her decision to file for divorce also serves as a reminder, as she requests primary physical custody, that Cardi's message to women is loud and clear: She's a mother, a mogul, and, by definition, a machine when it comes to her craft.

I'm like the best mom, one of the best moms in the world, I'm not playing, and I own property, and this, and that, and third, and I'm a lyrical, I'm a high-stat rapper. I'm good at what the f###### do, and if I'm not good at what I do, I train till I'm the best I can be.

Cardi's not shying away from the fight, not from the loathing, not from the strain, and certainly not from saying what jumps to her mind.
