Coi Leray Unveils Baby Miyoco to the World in Sweet Instagram Debut

Coi Leray shared the first complete look at her newborn daughter, Miyoco, with the world on Wednesday (July 2, 2025) in an affectionate photo. The "Players" rapper shares a pair of pictures on Instagram of her holding baby Miyoco tight in her arms, and just like that, the world was officially introduced to the precious little girl who is already melting hearts.

The news comes one month after Leray gave a subtle tease to her fans, a gentle photo of Miyoko's tiny fingers curled around her own, against a backdrop of a pastel pink blanket. But this time, everyone was in: a beaming mother, a sleeping baby, an emotional introduction that left no doubt this was about family.

Miyoco's name is as special and poetic as her coming out. A fusion between Coi Leray and Trippie Redd, the name has a deeper meaning drawn from Japanese culture (where takeshi is translated as "beautiful child" or "generationally blessed child"). It's a poetic match for the little one who already has so much history in her tiny hands.

There have been many ups and downs in the arc of Leray and Redd's story. The couple who have been on and off since 2019 revealed Leray's pregnancy earlier this year in January, sharing the news with beaming photos and genuine excitement. But the couple's second coming didn't stick. In the months before I gave birth, Coi was subtly dropping clues of my father's mistrust and infidelity, indicating this relationship had ended as well.

For its worth: Trippie Redd, who once joked online that he hoped his daughter would share his birthday (June 18), hasn't publicly addressed the arrival of Miyoco. He did allow that while she didn't share his day, it now belongs to her forever.

As for Coi, she is fully embracing her new chapter. She's also been open about the emotional rollercoaster of new motherhood, sharing raw and hilarious moments about breastfeeding on her social media, a relatable touch that many young mothers can appreciate.

Her dad, Benzino, also became part of the conversation, expressing his support for his daughter and his excitement about being a grandfather, showing that while some relationships are complicated, others are mending and hopeful.

Since the advent of Miyoco, Leray has not taken his foot off the pedal. Never mind that the rapper is already back in the studio previewing new music and keeping her creative fire lit. Her most recent endeavor, What Happened to Forever, landed in February, and if momentum is any indication, motherhood is hardly slowing her down.
