Sauce Walka Shares Gritty Footage of Bullet Emerging from Leg

Houston rapper Sauce Walka let fans in on an unfiltered view of his recovery following a violent ambush that changed his life. On Friday (July 11, 2025), some 4 months after miraculously living through a fatal shooting in Memphis, Sauce shared graphic footage of him removing a bullet from his leg naturally, pushed out by his body.

"I got a real God body," he adds in the video, sounding genuinely awestruck by what his body is capable of. "My body doesn't want this bullet in my leg.

The footage is not for the faint of heart but displays a butchered slug, probably a .45's, inching its way out of the rapper's leg, which remains misshapen by the blast. In a second clip, the bullet pops out, courtesy of some technical wizardry, and in that raw, unfiltered moment, it's clear a human survived, and it hurts to remember what was lost that day.

That shooting, which occurred March 22, 2025 outside the Westin Hotel near Memphis' FedEx Forum, resulted in the death of Sauce's best friend and Sauce Familia signee, Sayso P. Just 27, Sayso P had recently inked a deal with TSF and was in Memphis on a visit to see relatives when gunmen hopped out of a white vehicle and began firing on both men and Sayso P died at the scene.

"Takes most ppl 3 years, took me less than 3 months," he wrote in the caption, a reference to the remarkable quickness of his body's healing. "My body refuses all BS….. S.I.P @sayso__p. I love you and miss you, Splatt. I'm going to frame this bullet right next to our mural of you, Splatt!!! THEY CAN'T STOP THE DRIPS TSF 5EvA.

With the bullet that tore through his leg, now something more symbolic, a living memento. Sauce said he hopes to hang it next to a mural of Sayso P, as a way to immortalize not just the pain but also the loyalty that characterize this chapter of his life.

Meanwhile, justice is still unfolding, and the foremost suspect in the shooting, 21-year-old Jayden Dandridge, was later found dead in Houston. A second suspect, Kevin Brown, is still at large and is being sought on a charge of first-degree murder and other counts. Investigators are still reviewing surveillance video as the search continues.

With the path forward still unclear, Sauce Walka's mission statement is abundantly clear: The hurt is real, but so is the love, and the battle to preserve Sayso P's legacy ‎rages on more than ever.
