Boosie Badazz Says the Show Must Go On

Boosie Badazz is proving that nothing, not even a looming date in federal court, is going to stop him from doing what he does best: entertaining his fans. The Baton Rouge rap veteran took to social media this week to set the record straight after a wave of worried messages poured into his DMs. With a court hearing set for August 26 tied to a federal plea deal, fans assumed that his September calendar packed with performances might be in jeopardy.

“My DM full,” he said with a laugh. “A lot of people in my DM tripping about my shows in September because I go for my plea August 26. But that ain’t how it go in fed court. Once you take a plea, your sentencing ain’t till two, three months after it. So I’m gonna be at every show, of course.”

And that’s not all, his beloved annual pool party is still happening, too.
“Pool party still going on,” he confirmed. “It’s still gonna be crazy. Link in the bio for the tickets. But, all my fans across the world, it’s just a plea that I’m doing on August 26. That’s it, baby.”

If Boosie sounded unshaken, it’s because he’s been through this before. The current legal trouble stems from a June 2023 traffic stop in San Diego, where federal agents discovered firearms in his vehicle. Because of a 2011 felony drug conviction, he was hit with the federal charge of being a felon in possession of a gun.

While California state charges were tossed earlier this year after heated debates over Second Amendment rights, federal prosecutors weren’t ready to let the matter go. They refiled the case with some adjustments, keeping Boosie’s legal team busy and his fans anxious.

Earlier this month, Boosie revealed that after discussing it with his family, he had decided to accept a plea deal rather than prolong the case.

“JUST ACCEPTED A PLEA FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ON MY GUN CASE. I THOUGHT THIS CASE WAS OVER AND I WAS GOING TO GET ON WITH MY LIFE BUT ‘GOD DON’T MAKE MISTAKES’ AND I’M TIRED OF FIGHTING!!” he posted. “TALKED TO MY FAMILY AND THIS IS THE RIGHT DECISION. TO ALL MY FANS ACROSS THE WORLD SAY A PRAYER…”

The specific terms of the agreement remain under wraps, and sentencing details won’t be known until months after the plea is entered.

For now, though, Boosie is keeping his focus on music, his fans, and making memories before his next legal chapter begins. His message is clear: life goes on, and the party doesn’t stop.

“I’ll be at all my shows,” he repeated, letting his supporters know that the next few months will still be filled with music, energy, and the same Boosie they’ve been rocking with for years.
