Dusknight's "HONCHO" turns queer rage into dancefloor liberation

"HONCHO" is a blistering, sweat-drenched underground descrier from Providence-based queer producer and artist Dusknight. It burrows its way to the core of your being. From the moment that the first distorted vocal comes roaring through to when the last pounding kick gives out, "HONCHO" is a testament to surviving and thriving as an individual and within the collective.

"HONCHO" bodies smashing together, dripping in sweat and nothing but the beat live outside of this space that built a home on bass-heavy bounce, industrial grit, unrelenting drums. Throughout five tracks, each second pushes boundaries, combining chaos with catharsis; rage with joy; grit with glitter. It's unapologetically queer and full of life, it is a soundscape where chosen families dance together and nobody is left on the dance floor alone.

"HONCHO" is a lot of my anger turned into all the arts to create something beautiful, but it shows how to live in your truth fearlessly, and that might mean you have rage inside", says Dusknight." It helps people heal, grow, and find more confidence in their own right, as it did mine.

Commencing the release, for the first time in their career, Dusknight will also offer exclusive vinyl and CD editions, along with a limited-edition merchandise line. Each purchase also supports Haus of Codec, a Providence non-profit that works to house and care for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC youth, making every piece sold a tangible step towards urban change.

"HONCHO" is not checking in, and it's not getting your permission to set the pace. It demands movement, commemorates survival, and shapes littered underground grime into unadulterated club floor liberty. This is the soundtrack for when you're ready just to be you, and frankly, I couldn't relate more.
