The Harlem rap veteran Cam'ron has officially broken his silence on Omar Gooding's persistent diss tracks, delivering a sharp Instagram message that felt more like a warning than a friendly exchange. On Tuesday (August 5), Cam took to the' Gram with a pointed post that instantly had fans talking.
"@omargooding this you?!" he wrote, captioning an old-school photo of the actor. "I'm back in America. And got 3 weeks before @itiswhatitis_talk starts back up. U still wanna play? You're a Nickelodeon kid. Be careful n#### lol."

The back-and-forth between these two unlikely rivals has been simmering since January, when Cam'ron, during a segment on his "Talk With Flee!" show with 50 Cent, mistakenly referred to Omar Gooding as "Omar Gooding Jr." confusing him with his Oscar-winning brother Cuba Gooding Jr. He also threw shade at Gooding's career, claiming Black actors like him and Ving Rhames lean on others to fund their projects rather than putting their own money behind the scenes.
In response, the actor came out swinging with a diss track titled "Fix Ya Mouth" in January, warning Cam: "You only get one warning shot, don't make me do it." He didn't stop there. A follow-up track, "Fix Ya Mouth Pt. 2," took things a step further, parodying Cam's signature style while mocking his shift from rap to podcasting.
Cam'ron, at the time, played it light. "Lol, my bad bro. I don't want any smoke," he posted, brushing off the beef like it was just banter.
The months-long silence may have just been the calm before the storm. Cam's post has fans speculating that he might finally step into the booth and respond the way only a seasoned MC can on wax.
Omar, for his part, didn't miss a beat. He quickly fired back with a video on Instagram, challenging Cam to take it from social media to the studio. "No, sir. That's not it, that's not it. That's gonna backfire on you. If you want it, get in the booth, it's that simple. I've already been in there. Wanna hear 'em again?"
He even doubled down in the caption: "@mr_camron did your page get hacked?? NOW you want smoke?? Prove it… Harlem, relax… this ain’t that… Album comin in October."
So here we are. Actor vs. Rapper. Nickelodeon Kid vs. Harlem Diplomat. And while no official diss track from Cam'ron has dropped just yet, the streets and the timeline are watching closely.
Will Cam'ron respond with bars? Or is this just another moment of internet sparring? One thing's for sure: the booth is calling, and we might be one beat away from a full-blown lyrical showdown.
