Andy Smith & Emily E. Finke emerge with a new anthem from across continents in "Legends"

In a time when working together from afar is becoming more common, the creative partnership that made "Legends," the wonderful new single by well-known artists Andy Smith and Emily E. Finke, seems to be the most destined one. The International Singer-Songwriters Association (ISSA) helped the two work together creatively across three continents. Their partnership covers more than 10,000 miles and is obvious and cohesive.

"Legends" unfolds as a whispered narrative conveyed by the wind, an evocative expedition through golden mountains and luminous cities, enveloped in a soundscape that is simultaneously ancient and refreshingly novel. The song is about how time changes our stories and how distance blurs the line between what we believe and what we want to believe. It has a light, evocative tone that is both lyrical and emotional.

Most of the work on the project was done remotely, but the heart of "Legends" was recorded in person. In August 2025, at the ISSA Awards in Atlanta, GA, Smith and Finke recorded their vocals together, adding a unique human warmth to a song that was otherwise made across borders. Each artist's home country was where the co-production took place. This added global nuances to the work. Andy De Rosa of Wave Mastering (UK) did the final mastering, which brought out the song's wide-ranging mood.

"Legends" offers a one-of-a-kind sound experience with its bright sound palette that sounds like whispering winds and distant bells ringing. It is a story that doesn't end, a song that sticks in your mind long after the last notes fade away. This collaboration, like the legends it honors, aims to linger and inspire people long after its release.
