With “Dreaming,” the tightly woven four-track EP, Jaime’s Tone returns with the creative vision first introduced in “A New Life.” The 22 minutes and 38 seconds long release sharpens the project’s identity, merging progressive rock structures, indie rock atmosphere, and hard rock intensity in a vivid, 80s-inspired music palette.
The EP’s emotional arc is immediately set with the opening track “Finally Free,” a feeling of freedom and momentum, and the layered instrumentation finds its footing in a confident, driving energy. It’s a statement of arrival, cementing the ongoing evolution of Jaime's Tone since its inception in 2019. “Preamble” continues the story with richer, more atmospheric sound and background vocals and harmonies from Ukrainian singer Liliia Kysil. But then the track opens up with vocal layering and progressive arrangements, a reflective moment that still moves forward.
“Where is it?” takes the EP into wider conceptual areas, embracing exploratory prog-rock elements. The title track "Dreaming" sits at the center of the release, the EP’s most expansive composition and its heart. It’s a progressive rock showcase that introduces guest vocalist Phoebe Carter, who joins Alex VanTrue, a rising voice in the Jaime’s Tone universe and the frontman of a leading Portuguese tribute act. Their work lifts the song to another level in a multi-layered performance where different vocal textures meet intricate instrumentation for a high watermark of artistic convergence.
