Every Other Weekend crafts a raw return with “Resolution”

Chris Bull, former lead singer of Manchester-based indie rock band City Reign, has launched a new music project called Every Other Weekend. "Resolution," the third single from his upcoming album "All Present and Inept," which he spent seven years refining. This release is a testament to his persistent commitment to creative work and also marks his transition to independent, self-directed songwriting.

The unique human warmth of the song "Resolution" fundamentally stems from its distinctive recording process. Every Other Weekend collaborated with Mick Morrison, a friend and former recording engineer at Abbey Road, to complete all production work in Bull’s mother’s garage, using Bull’s father’s old recording equipment. The combination of professional expertise and a domestic, everyday setting generates an unpolished sense of sincerity, the work carries an intimate atmosphere.

In "Resolution," Mike Grice, former bandmate from City Reign and current member of the New Zealand group Lexytron, serves as lead guitarist, infusing the piece with a deeply familiar sense of connection. “Resolution” ultimately stands as a quiet statement of endurance, shaped by shared history, family legacy, and a long-awaited creative persistence coming into focus.
