"Mystic Highway Road Trip" opens with a bold statement. Especially worth noting are songs like "Live" with Harpmeister Jerry Fierro and "Losing My Mind - Re-Mix" with guitar virtuoso Lance Doss, which have a strong emotional resonance and upbeat spirit, and messages of hope that ring especially true in uncertain times. The remarkable rhythm section of drummer Steve Holley and bassist Paul Page lays the foundation for the EP, with a chemistry that provides a steady pulse throughout. Their performances drive each song, keeping the music polished and alive.
Meanwhile, Joe DeMaio's engineering work and guitar contributions on "Superstar - To Sir Elton with Love Mix" and "Shadow Walk" add yet another layer of texture and personality.
