Spring Rooster bring roots, rock, and rhythm together on “Stomp”

Spring Rooster doesn’t waste any time establishing its personality on the high-energy lead single “Stomp” from the Vancouver-based band’s upcoming EP. The band calls it a true “toe-tapper,” and it serves as a quick introduction to the sound they’re cultivating with this new record. 

The band's musical recipe is particularly unique, blending the character of a New Orleans-style guitar with a Red Hot Chili Peppers-style bass line, a John Bonham-style heavy beat, and classic Deep Purple organ elements. Those reference points hint at a track with lots of roots, rock, groove, and vintage weight, while the band’s own energy keeps the concept from sounding like simple memories.

The track's toe-tapping quality makes it accessible, and the combination of guitar, bass, drums, and organ gives it a fuller identity beneath the surface.
