ErickOscar brings faith and healing into focus with “Hope Is The Next Step (Folktronica)”

ErickOscar’s take on “Hope Is The Next Step (Folktronica)” is a well-considered blend of acoustic folk instrumentation and electronic production that builds a musical backdrop for a message that is steeped in resilience and faith. The song is quite personal, written to comfort and encourage family and friends in Panamá as they recover from devastating earthquakes and aftershocks.

The lyrics mapped out the post-disaster landscape with images of dust, shaken thoughts, and a world changed in a flash. The realization that the past cannot be undone leads to a more empowering question. What can be carried forward, and who can be found along the way? That change gives the song a real sense of going from shock to acceptance.

Folktronica provides an attractive junction between organic intimacy and contemporary texture. ErickOscar uses that cross-genre direction to back a message that feels personal and relatable on a broader level. "Hope Is The Next Step (Folktronica)" is a compassionate expression of faith, reminding listeners that rebuilding starts with small choices, shared strength, and the courage to believe in tomorrow.
