Mike Younger builds a strong musical foundation on “The Enemy Within”

“The Enemy Within” by Mike Younger features a cadre of ace musicians and a production pedigree rooted in Nashville’s rich musical environment. The combination features Michael Majett on bass (credits with Kenny Sharpe and War & Treaty) and drummer Josh McEwen (worked with Tom Mason & The Blue Buccaneers).

Together, the bass and drums place experienced players at the center of the track's musical foundation. Their contributions form a key framework for the song, showing how a strong rhythm section can shape a recording's character. The personnel suggests a performance-led approach, with the musicians bringing their individual experience to a shared creative setting.

Jesse Thompson, a former Nashville sound pro, produces the track and now tours with Margo Price as her in-house sound tech. “The Enemy Within” combines a well-tested roster of performers and production know-how for a release steeped in musicianship and collaborative craft.
