2 Chainz Calls Out Employee for Alleged Theft, 'She Stole Everything'

Rapper and entrepreneur 2 Chainz, who hails from Atlanta, is in the news again. Still, this time, it is not over his music or burgeoning businesses, but for calling out an employee whose alleged wrongdoing cost one of his establishments "everything."

The Grammy-nominated artist disclosed the alarming event in an Instagram post on Wednesday (March 19). While he did not specify which of his businesses was the target, he clarified that we were not talking about a handful of lost items: It was full-on theft. The ex-employee allegedly stole televisions, furniture, including sofas, and more, according to 2 Chainz. He summed it up in a deadpan, frustrated video delivery: "She stole everything."

As serious as it was, 2 Chainz stunned fans when he said he wouldn't be suing the person. Instead, he decided to be more introspective. In the caption to his video, 2 Chainz took a philosopher's approach to his ordeal, writing, "No good deed goes unpunished. Not even mad. I know it's hard out here … it's the principle."

Though frustrated, his words evoked empathy for the people's plight. Instead of retaliating, he appeared to recognize the bigger picture, maybe even teaching resilience lessons.

In addition to his music career, 2 Chainz has created a successful business empire. Esco has a diverse portfolio, including Escobar Restaurant & Tapas, Esco Seafood, a Smoothie King franchise, a cannabis dispensary in California, and a nail salon.

While he did not name the particular business during the video, he tagged the location "Pamper Nail Studio," causing many to assume that it was the establishment affected by the theft. The post quickly took off as fellow artists and industry peers rallied behind him in his comments.

Hip-hop legend Kid Capri took a side with 2 Chainz, comparing it to this other incident where the rapper was wrong: "Yo, this is the second time I've seen you done wrong, playboy. "The first one was when no one came to your food drive. People are just foul, brah."

Killer Mike, who also balances such pursuits with activism and shrewd business investments, also encouraged: "You're a real 'Player' and Gentleman. You're going to continue to be blessed because you are blessing others. Salute to you and your crew that stay true to you."

Losing goods and trust in an employee is a setback, but 2 Chainz has repeatedly shown us that he's built for the long haul. He is moving on in music as in business, re-inventing hurdles as lessons and setbacks as inspiration. If history has taught us one thing, it's that 2 Chainz is going to win, regardless of the obstacles before him.
