Xzibit Hit With Restraining Order Over Alleged Death Threats Amid Legal Turmoil

Rapper and former Pimp My Ride host Xzibit is being sued by a former employee who claims the rapper made death threats over sensitive financial issues related to the rapper's contentious divorce. The claims have brought a temporary restraining order, another controversy to the entertainer's fierce legal fights.

Julio Garcia, who is Xzibit's car detailer and close friend, says the rapper, whose real name is Alvin Joiner, became aggressive when Garcia learned about his houses, cars, and other assets. The other claim in Garcia's complaint is that Xzibit told him, "I'll kill you," before adding something cryptic, "Good luck to you and Krista." Krista Joiner, Xzibit's estranged wife, is also mentioned in the report, hinting that the alleged threats could be related to the bitter divorce proceedings going on between the former couple.

Garcia's allegations extend beyond verbal threats, and he claims that Xzibit forced him to work for years without pay and that he intimidated him along the way, creating a toxic work environment. Among the most troubling allegations is that Garcia drove cannabis-related products from Las Vegas to a warehouse in Chatsworth, California, which is claimed to be affiliated with Xzibit's cannabis business efforts. Garcia revealed the location of the warehouse while describing Xzibit's luxury vehicles, which he says only escalated the rapper's rage and threats.

The order, which was granted in response to Garcia's petition, mandates that Xzibit remain at least 100 yards away from Garcia, his wife, and their daughter. This legal maneuver adds another layer of drama to a series of ongoing disputes involving the rapper, including allegations that he manipulated witnesses using coercion and threats of legal action to elicit favorable testimony in his divorce case.

Though Xzibit has not responded publicly to these allegations, his legal team has alleged that Krista Joiner may be manufacturing these claims to bolster her case in court. Whether or not that claim has merit, the rapper has now been scheduled for a key court hearing on March 19, where a judge will determine whether the restraining order becomes permanent or gets dismissed.

For Xzibit, a seasoned figure in hip-hop and a name known to the larger public through years of reality television work, this legal combat also had potential ramifications outside the court system. As these accusations effectuate, they might affect his image, company, and freedom. We have yet to see if the claims will withstand scrutiny in court, but one thing's certain - Xzibit's legal woes are far from over.
