False 911 Call Leads to Tragedy, Woman Arrested After Young Scooter’s Accidental Death

In a devastating twist, reality star Demi Blanco has been arrested and is facing serious charges for a prank 911 call that led to the tragic death of rapper Young Scooter. Blanco, whose real name is Demetria Spence, was arrested Tuesday (April 1) and booked for transmitting a false public alarm. The 31-year-old actress and showstopper from Zeus Network’s “Baddies” is said to have constructed a story of violent crime that ended in calling for a scene and eventually led to Young Scooter’s untimely death.

Spence called 911 on March 28, reporting that she saw a naked woman being beaten and gunfire coming from a home in Atlanta. The nature of the call prompted police to respond with a sense of urgency, believing they might be encountering a violent crime in progress. But when officers responded, there was no sign of the reported attack. Instead, they saw two fleeing men, one of whom was Kenneth Bailey, a.k.a. Young Scooter.

In a traumatic effort to flee, Bailey tried to jump a wooden fence, but he sustained a gruesome leg injury when a main artery tore. Unfortunately, he died from blood loss before he could be rescued. His death was later ruled accidental by the Fulton County Medical Examiner, which listed “penetrating injury to the thigh” as the actual cause.

In a surprise turn of events just hours before her arrest, Spence went on Instagram and changed her story. Abandoning her original charge to 911, she accused the woman of attacking her that night, which was inconsistent with what she had reported earlier.

Compounding the controversy, Young Thug released his version of events on social media, in which he alleged that Bailey had been shot. In posts now deleted on X (formerly Twitter), Thug wrote, “Autopsy came back street got shot,” implying Scooter had not died as a result of a legitimate shooting. He even called out District Attorney Marissa Viverito, referring to her in the courtroom as the “biggest liar in the DA office.”

But the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office quickly shot down the claims. Their report confirmed that Young Scooter had no gunshot wound. Instead, he was injured by contact with wood or debris as he tried to escape.

Courtesy of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Spence is currently being held at the Fulton County Jail without bond as she awaits the next steps in the legal process. Whether her act was selfish or negligent, the damage has been done, not just for her but for the world and hip-hop, which are grieving the loss of Young Scooter.

One call, one lie, proved in dramatic new documentary footage to bring irreversible devastation and serve as a stark reminder of the damning consequences of false reports. As the legal system attempts to sort through this morass, life is lost, and speculation will not alter that reality.
