Megan Thee Stallion Calls Out Tory Lanez for Courtroom Chaos

Tory Lanez’s lawyers filed a motion requesting that the judge find him in contempt of court as a punishment for what they say was a catastrophic and rude performance at a deposition in Megan’s civil defamation case against him. The case, which is linked to an online harassment campaign reportedly instigated by blogger Milagro Cooper, took a bizarre twist when Lanez, who is currently behind bars, was deposed in the lawsuit.

Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, allegedly taunted Megan’s attorney, poked fun at her looks, and refused to answer simple questions with any honesty. At one point, he was said to have claimed not to know what the words “discuss” or “approve” mean. He also told Megan’s lawyer that her hair dye was “distracting” and suggested she “bring a hairbrush next time.”

Meg’s lawyer, Daniel L. Humphrey, pulled no punches, saying that “disruptive, inflammatory, and inconsistent with the basic norms of civil litigation” characterized Lanez’s conduct. Humphrey later explained that even Lanez’s lawyer, who also represents Milagro Cooper, “disavowed” his client’s actions. The deposition was eventually interrupted due to the devastation.

The underlying lawsuit claims that Cooper served as a proxy for Lanez during his prison term, allegedly spreading harmful lies and even deepfake porn about Megan online. The Grammy-winning rapper is alleging that this all was part of a larger streak movement directed by Lanez in response to her cooperation in the criminal case that resulted in his incarceration.

Though Lanez’s criminal defense team stays out of this trial, Megan’s civil team isn’t shying away from the tricks. The motion requests that the judge sanction Lanez for contempt, noting that his conduct impeded the deposition and mocked the legal process.

For Megan, this is not just about setting the record straight but about a message. In courtrooms and on stages, she shows that she won’t be threatened, muted, or disdained. While the legal battles are still in progress, Megan Thee Stallion’s fight for justice is as intense as her flow.
