Megan Thee Stallion Dances to Slim Thug at Coachella, But Says 'Boy, Don't Get It Twisted'

At this year's Coachella, Megan Thee Stallion reminded the world that an honor is not always an invitation, especially in the case of love.

The H-Town Hottie Shined Bright On The Coachella Stage, Performing A Blazing Set That Combined Her Signature High-Energy Twerking With An Epic Nod To Her H-Town Roots. One moment, in particular, piqued fans' interest in her attempt at "Still Tippin'," the Southern classic made famous by Slim Thug, Mike Jones, and Paul Wall.

But when the crowd was vibing out, Megan cut the performance in half with a perfectly timed dose of comedy and transparency.

Check out this article.

"And no, Slim Thug, don't mean I want you," she said smiling. "I just like your music."

That playful poke comes just days after Slim Thug got a bit overly excited on Instagram Live, even telling the world that Megan's performance last weekend was her shooting her shot.

"If that ain't no 'I want you, daddy' call, then I don't know what is," Thug said on his April 15 live stream. He cited her dancing to two of his cuts and an onstage guest spot he made at her Houston tour stop in June 2024 as evidence of Megan's alleged crush.

"I know she got a crush on me by this point," he added, grinning through the broadcast.

The veteran rapper kept the mood light, joking about the speculatory chemistry between the two and trolling himself.

"She has a lot of energy. You could tell from the twerk! I can't take Viagra every day! Got damn! But we could have a good time," he joked. "I'll catch you in the city."

The commentary was not to everyone's taste. Some fans called it "cringe," Slim Thug replied, dismissing it as good-natured admiration and hometown love.

"I'm just shouting out a fellow Houston artist," he said.

Megan's flippant zinger onstage sounded like her way of having fun with flirtatious speculation without throwing shade. It was classic Megan: straightforward, savvy, and self-assured while still maintaining a sense of fun.

At the end of the day, Megan Thee Stallion can clearly dictate her own narrative, even mid-performance. She paid tribute to Houston's Hip-Hop history while explicitly stating that respect has never meant infatuation. And as for Slim Thug? He may want to dial down the "daddy" talk a bit.
