Wiz Khalifa just casually claimed the sort of brag that could only come out of the mouth of a comic legend. The Pittsburgh rapper, who hosts a DJ Whoo Kid show promoting his latest album, Kush + Orange Juice 2, made a bombshell with audiences and hosts doing a double take.
“I did that to Snoop Dogg’s kids,” Wiz said, smiling without regret. DJ Whoo Kid, visibly surprised, leaned in for clarification, “Really?
Wiz, not missing a beat, confirmed, “Yes. We were shooting High School, the movie, and Snoop was out of the trailer doing what he had to do. He came back in the trailer and was like, ‘Y’all little m############ is high.’

While shooting Mac & Devin Go to High School, the now-iconic 2012 weed-fueled buddy comedy Wiz, as he puts it, was the first person to get Snoop Dogg’s kids high before the Doggfather himself had the chance.
Now, if you’re doing the math, and you probably are, when the movie was released, Snoop’s four children, three daughters and a son were in the 12- to 17-year-old child age range. They were probably even younger while filming. Although Wiz didn’t specify which of the Dogg Pound juniors participated in the green scene, the implication is that the internet is giving side-eyes and cracking up in equal measure.
Of course, the whole episode is wrapped in a casual delivery and humor-soaked fog, both hallmarks of Wiz Khalifa’s persona. It’s less an exposé than a high-as-a-kite flashback to a time when blunts and movie sets were a thing. Still, in today’s cultural climate, the story runs a narrow line between “classic stoner lore” and “wait, what?!”
Wiz and Snoop have always had a chemistry that fans can feel, whether on screen or off. Mac & Devin Go to High School wasn’t just another slapstick stoner flick. Still, it was a cultural touchstone for cannabis enthusiasts, hip-hop heads, and everyone who’s ever wished their chemistry teacher was a cool guy with a joint behind his ear.
Snoop has not yet publicly answered the story. Knowing him, as I do, he probably just chuckled, shook his head, and said something to the effect of, “That’s my nephew Wiz.”
However, you want to take it as an endearing tale or a borderline eyebrow-raiser regarding candid honesty. Wiz Khalifa is real, even when he gets hazy. And just like that, yet another legendary weed tale is created. Only in Hip-Hop, baby.
