50 Cent Trolls Kid Cudi in Bridal Dress Post Ahead of Explosive Diddy Testimony

One day prior to Cudi having to take the stand and testify in the federal court case against Sean "Diddy" Combs, 50, couldn't help but add a little fuel to the fire with a wedding dress. 50 Cent regrammed a photo of Kid Cudi, donned in an all-lace catsuit, white veil, white gloves, and white lace boots from the 2021 CFDA Awards. The image was initially eye-catching for its head-turning, statement-making fashion, but this week, it's also serving as fodder for memes in an entirely different, smirk-inducing context.

'Kid Cudi gonna be up there like, I'm on your ass now, Diddy. WOMAN, YOU KNOW YOU DID IT, NO, DON'T SAY YOU DIDN'T NOW! YA DID IT! LOL," captioned 50 for the post.

Cudi's outfit was first worn as an homage to Kurt Cobain, another artist famous for pushing back against gender norms, but the 50s caption added an entirely new layer to the picture. The look came courtesy of Eli Russell Linnetz, who allegedly requested that Cudi be the "bride" for the show, and Cudi, forever willing to stir the pot, agreed.

Kid Cudi is slated to take the stand on Thursday (May 22) in the ongoing federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges against Diddy. The news was confirmed in court last week by federal prosecutor Maureen Comey, suggesting Cudi might also be helping shine a light on some dark allegations.

Papa ll said Cudi's name came first during tearful testimony from Cassie Ventura. The singer testified to a brief relationship with the "Day' n' Nite" rapper in late 2011 while still involved with Combs. As Ventura remembers, Diddy did not react well to the news. She claimed that Combs threatened to do something to Cudi's car after hearing about her and Cudi. Shortly thereafter, Cudi woke up to find his Porsche mysteriously blown up in his driveway.

Prosecutors view Cudi's testimony as critical to bolstering allegations that Combs used violence and intimidation as a means of control, especially over women and people who crossed him. The suit charges that Diddy ran the so-called "freak offs" parties where drugs were used to turn guests into participants in coerced sex orgies, as well as a ring of male sex workers as part of his larger criminal operation.

Combs has vehemently denied the trafficking allegations, claiming that he has never purchased anything besides consensual actions. He previously admitted to committing acts of domestic violence in previous relationships but denies any participation in organized crime.

As the courtroom gears up for testimony that could change the game, 50 Cent's post adds a social media sideshow to an already sensational story. Whatever you call it, trolling or just classic 50: The hip-hop world has itself some popcorn.
