BELLHEAD strikes back with "Threats"

Chicago genre-bending powerhouse BELLHEAD has just released their latest audio bomb, the seven-track EP "Threats," which is just over 26 minutes long. "Threats" throbs with a sustained note of terror, attitude, and overcome odds, soaking in the infectious bass grooves and melodic give-and-take fans have come to count on. Karen's and Ivan's trade-offs behind the microphone operate as a rough-hewn dialogue between chaos and control, a signature differentiating BELLHEAD amid an often crowded scene.

On the heels of their incredible debut "Unicorn Bones" and several critically acclaimed albums, "Threats" displays the sound of a band who has honed their weapons and sharpened their edge while also retaining the feral one-two punch that made them impossible to ignore, having remixed/collaborated for bands such as Pig, Clan of Xymox, and Skatenigs, as well as previous features in Post-Punk.

Renowned for their dual bass, guitar-free aural assault, and potent mix of post-punk, industrial, and dark alternative rock, BELLHEAD cut deeper than ever before on their new, never-more-urgent release, Holdenljud extracts full-throttle rage from a place of life-threatening fear and justifiable anxiety without once sacrificing vulnerability.

Meanwhile, the remarkable highlight of "Head Shaped Hole" is a macabre, mesmerizing trip through broken memories and emotional damage. With haunting vocals from Karen and Ivan's menacing pronouncements stacked on each other, the song provides a gut-wrenching release wrapped in a package of dark beauty. By contrast, "Double Jeopardy" is a relentless storm cinematic, sneering, and hook-filled. The rare song makes you want to dance and destroy on the same beat. "Threats" are a warning, a pledge that BELLHEAD is here, and they ain't going away soon.
