Benzino's Heart Melts Over Granddaughter Miyoco, Cheers Coi Leray's New Chapter in Motherhood

Benzino's world shined in a new way as the new grandfather. The former Love & Hip Hop cast member beamed with pride as he celebrated the birth of his granddaughter Miyoco, born to his daughter Coi Leray and rapper Trippie Redd.

In an interview with TMZ, Benzino expressed his feelings about this anniversary. "I'm so happy for my daughter," he added with warmth. Seeing Coi during her pregnancy, "she looked so beautiful," he says, radiating the glowing strength that only an imminent mother can feel. It's evident that no matter the highs and lows in their history, this new chapter was an opportunity for them both to start anew.

Benzino didn't hold back about their complicated past. "The s--- that we went through got me to sit and be like, 'What's the decisions that I've been making and how can I be a better dad,'" he shared. Now, it's about healing and filming and standing next to Coi and this new little life she's brought into the world." "I want the relationship to be beautiful, and I want to be there for her when she has the baby. I am genuinely hopeful for her," he confided.•Sex offender made cuts: Who kept score?

Miyoco has a gorgeous, culturally vibrant name with beautiful ties to her heritage but Japanese and translates to either "beautiful child" or "blessed descendant." Coi, who announced the baby's birth on Instagram just days prior, melted hearts with a sweet photo of the newborn clutching her finger. And in keeping with her tell-it-like-it-is approach, she showed fans a glimpse of the ups and downs of new motherhood on Twitter, quipping, "Breastfeeding ain't no joke" in response to a funny gif that read, "IT HURTS!!!"

Benzino said he's proud of Coi for becoming a mom and believes she's ready for the chapter in her life. "She's going to be an awesome mom," he exclaimed, truly in awe of how much she grew and accomplished. He imagines a fascinating road ahead for them both as parents, regardless of the inevitable attention that comes with being born to two famous artists. "This baby will be in the limelight just based on who her parents are. It's gonna be interesting. This baby will come out into this world a very famous baby.

Still, Benzino has no interest in upstaging the young family. Tongue firmly in cheek, he swore to shield them from reality TV drama, the kind he once found himself tossed amid on Love & Hip Hop. "I'll try my best to keep it that way," he laughed.

He's also aware of how shifting the balance of parenting in our fast-paced world has led to "a different dynamic of parenting for this generation," but "it's still going to do amazing." In a way, his trust in Coi and Trippie to handle fame and family speaks to the respect he now carries for them.

At its core, this is a story about growth, forgiveness, and the delightful unpredictability of family life. Benzino's happiness for Miyoco's arrival beams as a ray of hope, like a screw machine unthreading love's pipe. It's a great reminder that love and support can build bridges, no matter what has happened in the past, and nothing like the magic of a grandchild to bring that home.
