DDG and Halle Bailey Clash in Court Over Baby Halo's Supervised Visit Abroad

Rapper and YouTuber DDG is fighting for the right to see his baby son Halo while the child is in the custody of his mother, Halle Bailey care overseas, in a heated, emotional battle. The pair, currently embroiled in a legal entanglement, reportedly entered a Los Angeles courtroom on Tuesday (June 24) to determine the status of supervised visitation.

DDG, who has been eager to meet his six-month-old son while Bailey is still filming in Rome, suggested that his mother could do so and monitor the visit. But Bailey's legal team was not having any of it, expressing powerful skepticism about her role. "DDG's mother made public comments about the situation at hand and has possibly even enabled such behavior, and The mother of Bailey granted him temporary sole custody of their young son.

The judge conceded that DDG's wish that "he be able to see his child is a reasonable one" but concluded that his visits with the child would have to be supervised by a neutral, professional third party, not a relative or friend. Safety, the judge stressed, should be the court's paramount concern.

Alongside professional supervision, the judge also set forth another clear condition: if visitation is permitted, then DDG will be prohibited from sharing any photos, videos, or social media posts related to Baby Halo during the visit. Privacy and the child's welfare were among the main reasons for this ban, the court said.

Now, the opposing lawyers are scrambling to locate a certified monitor in Rome who meets the court's standards in a bid to meet a tight deadline. A follow-up hearing is slated for Friday (June 27), when the possible visitation will finally be nailed down.

The case originates from previous accusations made by Bailey, who was given temporary sole custody after she accused DDG of physically abusing her on several occasions, some of which she claims were in front of their son. DDG has denied those allegations and is now firing back with a custody petition of his own.

In their new filings, DDG aimed the spotlight on Bailey, insisting that she presents the actual emotional harm to their son. He claims she has threatened to hurt herself as a form of manipulation and that her behavior poses an "imminent emotional and psychological risk" to Halo.

For her part, Bailey vehemently denies the accusation. In a written statement to the court, she was explicit: "I have been and remain 100% available and capable to parent our son, Halo." Her mental health, she added, is "completely under control," and the allegations of DDG are a "misrepresentation."

As the story continues to unfold, the focus remains where it should be: on the precious baby, Halo. With both parents standing by their allegations and issues, the court is then obliged to determine whether or not it is safe and in the best interests of this young family for the children to spend time, or any time, with that parent.
