Miyoco'sCoi Leray and Trippie Redd Welcome Baby Girl Just Days Before His Birthday

It was a profoundly intimate and strikingly public moment at which Coi Leray assumed her post as a mother and did it her way: with love, elegance, and lots and lots of pinks. The "Players" songstress took to Instagram on Monday, June 16, to announce that she gave birth to her first child, a baby girl named Miyoco, just two days before father Trippie Redd's 21st birthday.

The reveal was understated, touching, and thoroughly emotional. Leray shared a heartwarming photo to her Instagram Story, showing a melted tiny hand tightly gripping Lelay's finger while she was donning a soft pink Polo onesie. That photo was enough to let fans know that Baby Miyoco had touched the ground, and Coi was officially a mother.

Miyoco was mentioned in connection with Leray's widely covered Hello Kitty-themed baby shower, the decor of which was as colorful and flamboyant as the rapper herself. That baby shower, joyous and whimsy, was the first public peek fans got into Coi's vision of motherhood full of color and heart and unapologetic for being her.

Leray's romance with fellow rapper Trippie Redd (Miyoco's father) has been an emotional, headlining, and heartbreaking roller coaster. This year, Coi accused Trippie of cheating, a wound she did not shy away from sharing. "Nothing worse than getting cheated on," she wrote in January. I would not wish this pain on my worst enemy."

Since then, the two have kept things on the down low, though eagle-eyed fans could deduce that they had probably broken up between January and April. Despite the split and the public spectacle of their breakup, Leray keeps her head down and is focused on supporting her young family and the longevity she's building for her daughter.

Trippie Redd still had it in his mind that his daughter would arrive on his birthday. In April, he tweeted, "Yall my daughter tryna share my bday lol. That's gone be her damn day now.'" And though Miyoco was only two days ahead of the June 16 due date, we have a feeling she'll still steal the show every June.

For Coi Leray, the arrival of Miyoko signifies not only a fresh chapter but an entirely new purpose. The rapper has been candid about how pregnancy changed her perspective. From joyfully embracing her changing body to sharing her intentions to raise her daughter with strength and love, it's obvious Leray isn't simply welcoming a child; she's embracing this new role with fierce intention.

She's previously shared, " I want to be the best example I can be for her," and with the arrival of little Miyoco, it seems that journey has truly begun.
