Young Thug & Mariah The Scientist Make Love Look Hilariously Real

The dynamic duo Young Thug and Mariah The Scientist was at the center of GQ's beloved Couples Quiz, and what followed was a riotous blend of sweet confessions, some truly rogue comedic riffing, and one of the most lopsided final scores in the show's history.

The Atlanta rapper, perennially unbothered and inscrutable, didn't appear too ruffled when his final score was the just-got-paid-and-now-they-wanna-throw-that-extra gap of 20.5. Mariah? She put up an astonishing 49,165 points. You're not alone if you're wondering how that even happens in a 10-minute game.

You know, like when Thug awoke with a pile of muffin crumbs on his back, Mariah's midnight streusel habit to thank. "I'm waking up with muffin crumbs on my back," he said as if it were the sort of thing that happened. "Streusel," Mariah confirmed with a smile.

One of the highlights was when Thug was questioned about Mariah's guilty pleasure. He did not think about it before replying, "S###, me. Mariah echoed the feeling without missing a beat: "Yeah, that's me too. You are my guilty pleasure, baby." Enter the internet's collective swoon.

Naturally, the quiz would not be without some hard truths about dream chasing. When the question was about what was on his bucket list, Mariah got the answer right: Young Thug wants to go to space. And judging by his most recent album rollout, we're inclined to believe him.

Thug's next studio LP, named after one of the biggest stars in the known universe, is due in June 2025. If you were hoping Thug would take it easy, you should have known better: This is his first real album since he exited prison in late 2024, and his promo game and new species are at an all-time high.

Influencers and industry leaders were shocked when they began receiving live tarantulas by mail. The black boxes also displayed a UY SCUTI emblem and artwork. The spider was housed in an elegant glass casing. Engraved on the side was, "Take care of me until we get to UY SCUTI."

With contributions from Future, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Ken Carson, and Mariah herself, and production from Metro Boomin, Southside, and Wheezy, UY SCUTI looks to be as interstellar as its namesake or as Thug joked in the quiz.

"I wouldn't be capable of being like, 'Yes' or, 'No,' while inserting a pen." Mariah added with a smile, "I don't know. Same-day type s###."

If there is one lesson to be learned from their Couples Quiz mayhem, it is this: Love doesn't necessarily have to make sense, but when it does, it cleans up in Vegas: crumbs, spiders, space dreams, and everything in between.
