The Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B went live on Twitter Spaces and spit on the mic like nobody’s business, this time to shut down an odd and downright disrespectful rumor that has been circulating on social media. The reality show star, 28, was reportedly developing a “foul odor” emanating from her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) to the point that it led to Drama between her and her NFL boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, according to the gossip mill.
Cardi’s response, “First of all, I don’t know who made that up,” she said in the viral Twitter Spaces rant. “But b####, that’s you … That’s on you, b####. That could never be me.”

It all blew up when fans realized Cardi had removed Diggs from her Instagram, igniting wild speculation that he had dumped her over, wait for it, a “BBL smell.” Some of the most incendiary posts cited Diggs supposedly saying she “smelled like a trash bag” or, worse yet, “garbage truck juice.” Yeah, people went there.
But Diggs himself promptly called a cap on the entire thing, taking to social media to let everybody know that he was vocally out here denying that he even ever said any such shit. The internet is still the internet; however, this meant the narrative ran ahead of the facts.
Cardi, a woman who never holds her tongue, clapped back with all the Bronx energy you’d expect and then some.
“B####, I was a f###### stripper; you had to smell good all the time,” she reminded the room. “I was born and raised by women, like please.”
This was not only a defense but a full-on reminder of who Cardi is. Clean, confident, and not here for the foolishness. Through all the noise, don’t forget to remember that Cardi has much bigger fish to fry. Her latest album, the long-awaited follow-up to her 2017 debut, Am I the Drama?, is scheduled for release on September 19, 2025, on Atlantic Records. It has been seven years, to be exact, since her blockbuster debut album “Invasion of Privacy” won a Grammy and rewrote the rules for female rap.
The rollout of the new album began in late June with a moody teaser that featured Cardi in a black gown, accompanied by crows. The following day, she announced the dramatic cover art and official release date with a filmic voiceover that had fans reeling.
The 23-track project is a behemoth of a play, stuffed with hits we already know and love like “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion and “Up” and slam-packed with new material, including the latest single, “Outside.”
So, as Twitter continues to weave tall tales, Cardi’s focused on making real ones, music, power, and remaining ten steps ahead of the mess. And if you didn’t know before, now you do: don’t go for Cardi unless she calls you.
