The rap queen Nicki Minaj hit social media this week with her trademark blend of sass and shade, blasting her trolls sharing tales of financial woe. It also follows a call out she issued to Jay-Z over an alleged unpaid $200 million from the sale of the streaming platform Tidal to Square Inc. in 2021.
“Purchasing another Mansion as we speak. It would be the 3rd in 2 years,” she wrote. “That’s in addition to what I acquired for others over 15 years. Catch up ugly.”

Nicki broke it all down: her bomb real estate portfolio, long-running philanthropy work, and, in typical Minaj style, a sparkly new status symbol: her first-ever private jet. And yes, it’s pink.
“Just bought my first jet. It’s all pink. Come on, losers, get in! Sike. “Fly Barbz only,” she posted, reminding fans and haters that although the sky beneath her feet appears metaphorically shaky, her feet are not only still flying, they’re flying in style.
The fiery posts appeared amid a deluge of speculation on the internet about her finances, with some muttering that her latest tour might not have quite been the money-spinner it appeared. But Nicki squashed those rumors quicker than you can say “Chun-Li.”
But there was still drama to be had outside of her haters. Minaj’s explicit allegations against Jay-Z added fuel to the fire. The “Big Pimpin” rapper still owes her a sizable piece of the pie from the Tidal deal $200 million, to be precise, she claimed. Jay-Z, meanwhile, looked every bit the picture of a calm, collected mogul. While Nicki was blowing up timelines, he was lighting up the pitch, seen here grinning at the 2025 Club World Cup final in New Jersey. In images shared by Roc Nation, he is seen posing with Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, seemingly unfazed by the online furore surrounding him.
Fans were quick to note the comparison between the two, and Jay’s jaunty disposition went on to become a meme of its own.
